MUTATED LOVE DRIFTS

Needless to explicate yonder, the basic tendencies of our social habitations and communities has been skewed by an array of unethical perceptions. Most individuals in their late fifties would testify to the fact that the idea of what they had about relationship to what they see right now has totally undergone a transformation which has not been for the better but a disappointing regression. In their times, it was somehow customary that they either married by their mid-twenties or otherwise had an intent of the same. The age does not matter but what the entire felt like is just thrilling.

First, the thought of just convincing a lady of your unknown intentions towards her was nothing far from sticking your finger into a bee hive.This great burden of entry into a relationship was rarely as a result of fear or reluctance by ones internal personalities’ challenges to face a member of the opposite gender and declare their feelings; however at the backing of such intimidation was the great integrity that the other member highly maintained.

The thought of facing a well behaved, humble and well groomed girl was just unthinkable. And for that matter, the parents would step in and aid in the courtship initiation processes. Upon marriage there would occur a paradigm shift where the woman would not at any cost want to annoy, offend or show any absorption of disrespect to her spouse, mostly because of their nobility.

I am not at any chance espousing to the idea that today’s social associations have turned sour, but instead imply the impending risk of the dignitary foundations of relationships going under the drain. It is quite explicit how the ease of entry to a relationship has become nowadays. All it needs is a mobile phone and quite some substantial amount of airtime to chat with the desired mate. It is more of a vicious reality that today’s relationship masquerade as a mere game.

I term it a game since rather than being founded on the core principles of love, support and respect; and alternative pattern of selfishness has set in. “Take all you can and give nothing back” notion has been the prevalent rule when it comes to define the standards of a modern world relationship. It is all skewed when we get into relationships with the mind of gaining. Women intend to gain wealth or get associated to a successful man, ultimately deriving false satisfaction from the same. Men on the other hand are blinded by beauty and the lustful pleasure they stand to gain. Love and relationship is all about giving. A sturdy relationship would last upon integrity, love, respect, sobriety and above all giving ones all and expecting nothing in return.
